I did an internship at CRB Benelux for my Applied Science study program, with a specialization in Biomedical Sciences at Zuyd Hogeschool. During the internship, research was performed about the use of probiotic bacteria in cosmetics and skincare products. Freeze drying was used to encapsulate the bacteria. It was examined whether this method could maintain the activity of the bacteria over time. During this internship, I also worked on bacteria cultivation.
