About Jip J. Dekker

I am a researcher with a passion for programming languages, optimization, and community building. Above all, my research interests lie in devising state-of-the-art methods to solve challenging tasks. I have dedicated my research to the development of the MiniZinc language, a programming language to model and solve decision and optimization problems, and novel solving method, such as the lazy clause generation solver Chuffed. I have successfully deployed these methods to solve problems in Medicine and Sport Scheduling.

My research focuses on programming languages and tools to model and solve combinatorial optimisation problems. In particular, my research has involved the improved implementation and optimisation of the MiniZinc constraint modelling language and the creation of advanced interfaces to different types of solving technologies.
