As a Professional Practice Clinician (PPC), Veronica undertakes clinical, teaching and staff development responsibilities for the Emergency Department and the organization, focusing on clinical education for staff. She maintains a current knowledge base regarding best practice and leading edge technology in the area of practice and clinical programs; draws upon contemporary evidence and/or research-based practice methods and standards; and participates in research activities. Veronica's focus is on ensuring operational readiness for the Milton Hospital expansion and is responsible for the development and implementation of clinical processes and documents to support operations on opening day. She is responsible for the deliverables associated with the operational readiness project plan. Veronica collaborates with the Program Leader, Patient Care Managers, the Senior Project Coordinator, and fellow PPCs, to plan, implement and evaluate activities related to staff and patient education. Veronica develops, reviews and revises policies and procedures related to professional practice and clinical care, and provides supporting education and evaluation. She develops and monitors quality indicators within the program and actively participates in quality improvement activities. As a member of the Office of Professional Practice, Veronica collaborates with other PPCs to coordinate and assist with program quality management; conduct follow-up activities; and plan and present/participate in educational initiatives at program and corporate levels.

Veronica's focus is on ensuring operational readiness for the New Oakville Hospital and is responsible for the development and implementation of clinical processes and documents to support operations on opening day. She is responsible for the deliverables associated with the operational readiness project plan.
