Supply Chain Analyst supporting Avnet San Diego branch office. Responsibilities included but were not limited to:  Primary responsibility for managing inventory pipeline to ensure assigned customer base received inventory on time, creating customer reports for detailing inventory availability and status, forecasting and monitoring inventory requirements for assigned customer engagements, and implementing and maintaining reorder points.  Analyze customer forecasts for materials and determine feasibility of forecasted requirements.  Prepare forecast models reflective of customer requirements and submit to the appropriate internal departments for procurement and expediting.  Experience in production planning and materials forecasting. Experience in inventory control and analysis (Kanban). Experience with supplier negotiation (domestic and international). Ability to interface with internal and external customers- suppliers, manufacturing, quality etc. Experience with excel for data analysis (Pivot tables). Manage unforeseen shortages in demand from customers and monitor the process to ensure appropriate resolution or escalation of issues, including but not limited to, ECO activities, part number cross-referencing and substitution, end-of-life, allocation, and obsolescence.  Demonstrates working knowledge of purchasing concepts and principles, including best practices. Conducts data collection and analysis for contracts and business requirements. Develops report requirements to meet service and quality level objectives. Develops and utilizes purchasing metric tracking processes/systems to manage inventory levels per established targets. Monitor assigned engagements to ensure adherence to all model metrics and measurements and appropriate reporting

 Provide “go-to” market strategies to executives for wireless product categories, ensure accuracy and timeliness of part, price and availability information to sales team for customer quotations, effectively utilize allotted MDF to promote various wireless manufacturing lines. Negotiate with suppliers and participate in pricing decisions that contribute to revenue and profitability goals. Primary responsibility for complex $7,000,000 product line with focus on inventory mix, inventory turns, stock rotations, product transitions and inventory turns. Key contributor to creating processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and profitability to the wireless business unit. Management of top two key manufacturers in the wireless market, which contributed to a record setting revenue quarter for Avnet. Manage complex rebate and debit process to insure maximum profitability for business unit. 2006 FY06 Avnet MVP Award for Integrity.
