Technical Business Analyst
The client is moving towards establishing a centralized IT Active Directory architecture which will provide an Enterprise Shared Services platform for common services such as authentication, authorization, messaging, and collaboration. The Active Directory Assessment Project was undertaken to better understand the current state of the many AD domains used within the company. In its current form, AD is used to support Cloud, Production, Development, QA and R&D in a non-centralized fashion. There are lots of “independent” AD domains with no trusts established. The customer had engaged Trimax Americas to review the current state of their AD infrastructure and its layout. Through a series of meetings and interviews that I conducted with the AD Support Teams and the client’s many Business Units, I gained understanding of how each of the COTS and in-house developed applications leveraged AD as well as the Business Unit’s main processes. I led many hours of interviews centering on conversations around the 60+ questionnaire I created that each Business Unit was required to complete. This helped me understand how each Business Unit depended on AD in their unique way. In addition to the interviews, I participated with the deployment of assessment and data-gathering tools against specific domains using their AD domain controllers. The resulting outputs helped determine the domain’s health status, the inter-dependencies among the many domains, and details of the thousands of objects within that domain.Responsibilities:• Elicited technical and process workflow business requirements from the various Business Units.• Created custom documents that helped keep track of meeting details and business requirements.• Created Business Unit Case Study documents to show current state of their environments, daily business processes, and risks.• Translated and simplified requirements for the Project Manager and various non-technical stakeholders.
Systems Integration Lead
My client, a leading paper manufacturer in the world, acquired a company whose IT infrastructure needed to be integrated into my client's central IT data center. My role began with the site survey phase of the project, where I traveled to multiple sites to assess what infrastructure items and applications needed to be migrated.
