I prioritized application features to maximize the company's impact in the market given the limited developer's resources (I utilized The Eisenhower Matrix). As a Student Research Assistant, I was part of a research team that investigated preventive procedures in the healthcare system to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in post-surgery patients due to the non-use of pneumatic compression devices after surgical procedures. A few key contributions in this tenure include:☞ Wired new electrical sensors and developed software notification system to alert nurse station when the pneumatic compression device was not powered.☞ Conducted focus groups questionnaires at the clinic on the existing nurses’ procedures post-surgery and proposed potential areas of improvement to reduce pneumatic compression devices non-use cases.
