Delaina is a museum educator and teaching artist currently serving as the Lead Educator and cofacilitator of the Orange County Young Curators program (OCYC) at the Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA) and serving on the Board of Directors for Museum Educators of Southern California (MESC) as their Board Member at Large. She holds a BFA with honors in Painting and a Minor in History and Theory of Contemporary Art from the San Francisco Art Institute. As a member of the inaugural OCMA Educator Cohort following the museum's move to its new permanent home in 2022, Delaina has collaborated with fellow educators to create a relevant and responsive department for the students and visitors of Orange County. She is currently the cofacilitator of the OCYC program, where she collaborates with the Museum’s Chief Curator and Director of Programs and the 2025 California Biennial Team to design and implement an original, flexible, and responsive curriculum for junior and senior high school students to learn about museums, contemporary art, and curatorial practice. She works concurrently with Artsy101, a nonprofit organization that helps students in Orange County explore their creativity, develop artistic skills, and express themselves through specially designed art-making programs. Delaina is passionate about creating inclusive, engaging educational experiences and is committed to using her role to inspire and support learners of all ages. She believes in the transformative power of learning and is thrilled to continue contributing to the growth and impact of OCMA, MESC, and the broader museum education community.
