I was a follow-up champ, ensuring no communication fell through the cracks.Dove into research tasks with no fear. Whether researching who’s who in convoluted pharmaceutical supply chains or tracking down weather conditions in the Farmer’s Almanac, I strove to uncover every answer.Embraced technology such as TrialWorks and Microsoft Office to streamline administrative tasks and projects.Handled confidential information about legal cases with discretion. In the Bat Lab at the University of Nebraska Omaha, I dove into the wonderful world of bats. My love for these strange little creatures led me to a unique opportunity to learn about bioacoustic monitoring. Here is a snapshot of my time as a Research Assistant:My role involved analyzing over 20,000 bat calls, focusing on uncovering the signature feeding buzzes that echoed through Glacier Creek Preserve. Through my meticulous analysis, I identified and documented these feeding buzzes, contributing valuable insights to ongoing research,My time at the Bat Lab was an adventure into the bioacoustics of bats. Although I moved on after graduation, the buzzes I documented will continue to be used in ongoing research.

My journey as an Intern Birds Keeper at Henry Doorly Zoo was a dynamic blend of animal care, research, and public engagement:I conducted an independent research project that explored the feeding preferences of African Penguins. From specific fish types to the handlers they favored, I uncovered the unique preferences of each penguin.I maintained detailed records on my avian friends, from husbandry to training milestones - I ensured every aspect of their lives was documented precisely.Every week brought new opportunities for professional growth. I participated in workshops covering many distinct career opportunities in the world of Zoos.
