Stadium Events-Communicate effectively with guests, work front desks at events, be available when guests have questions, be very hospitable-Move tables and chairs, set-up and break down from events held in the premium spaces as well as learning to collaborate well with othersHospitality Host-Wrist banding guests and being there to help with any questions they may have. -Being able to help others is very important and valuable to me and I cannot wait to do this more and continue to learn to help me in my future jobs and career.

I had the opportunity to have assisted with two different weddings with Pink Diamond Events. -The first being in Estes Park, CO. I assisted in setting up before the event, ensuring all of details of the wedding ceremony and reception rooms were on par, as well as coordinating with my boss, fellow assistant, vendors, the venue and the bridal party. This wedding consisted of 100 people and was located in a hotel/steakhouse. -Loveland, CO was the second wedding I worked on a private estate. This wedding had 100 attendees as well. I coordinated again with my boss, fellow assistant, bridal party, vendors, and also the owners of the property. -Being able to work two weddings that were very different was eye-opening to the event planning process as well as execution. Hosting a wedding at a venue is very different than a private property, as for the location as well as vendors. For example, the vendors in Estes Park included catering from the facility itself, an outside baker and DJ. At the private property, the wedding and reception had a food truck, a beverage cart, and catering with servers who traveled to the property, rather than it being on-site.

I worked for the Decatur Park District Banquets for about two years. I started as an attendant and worked my way up to become a supervisor. -I ran events such as weddings, anniversaries, graduation parties, and proms. -My responsibilities included making sure the event ran smoothly, checking in with the clients often, and communicating with vendors on what they needed from us. -I retained skills such as how to succeed under pressure, keeping clients and their guests happy throughout the event, and how to better manage events in general.

During my time in the Disney College Program, I worked at ESPN Wide World of Sports and Africa in Animal Kingdom, both in food and beverage.-My customer service skills as well as being able to problem solve on the spot grew tremendously, and I can see how much growth there has been before and after my program. -Provided excellent guest service in a Fortune 500 company-Took orders-Operated a point-of-sale system (POS register)-Cash handled -Fulfilled orders-Stocked items-Kept inventory These skills and countless others will no doubt be used in future jobs and my career and I will continue to develop them and grow.

-I handled cash, phone calls, learned about customer service, multi-tasking, and efficiency.-This being my introduction to food and beverage, it was a very valuable experience, and the skills that I learned I continued to grow them in my later jobs as well as still today.
