As Director of Communications for the Economics Studies program at the Brookings Institution, I worked with 30+ economists to influence policy and public dialogue on dozens of economic policy issues through daily strategic engagement with members of the media, partner organizations, policy influencers, and government officials. I led the program's media relations activities, ensuring our work influences media coverage on a local, national, and international level. I worked with Brookings experts to fine-tune their messaging, prepare for interviews, and make informed, strategic decisions that grow their profile in the press.I also oversaw the online production and promotion of hundreds of new research products a year, developing strategies to grow engagement on our social media and email channels and collaborating with researchers, graphic designers, videographers, and developers to ensure our research is presented in a clear, accessible, and influential manner.

As Digital Products Manager, I oversaw Brookings' email newsletter program, managing products for more than 20 research programs and centers. I was responsible for quality of editorial content, email design and deliverability, and also user flow and onboarding schemes for subscribers from multiple entry points. Under my management, Brookings' email open rates increased nearly 10 percentage points, click rates more than doubled, and the Institution's subscriber database grew by 50%.In this role, I also conceptualized, launched, and authored the institution's premier daily email product, The Brookings Brief, which increased monthly traffic to Brookings’ website via email by nearly 450 percent in its first year.

At OMB Watch, I worked with research staff to conceptualize, calendar, and write blog posts and additional web content. I also managed email and print fundraising campaigns, overseeing a 30% increase in contributions from individual donors over two years. I edited book-length policy reports, educational materials, and press statements, as well as designed a variety of print marketing materials, for example postcards, fact sheets, and the organization's Annual Report.
