I assumed the role of Assistant Controller in 2012. I oversee complete financial activities such as compiling financial statements for banks, regulators, and multiple stakeholders to analyze financial results and streamline operations. I am greatly appreciated by the management for rendering services and performing various tasks such as revenue forecasting, expense management, and financial statements preparation for over 30 institutions. I am responsible for preparing cash flow statements for barge ownership entities as well as managing cash distributions to increase work flow and enhance operational efficiency. I also act as a primary focal person to conduct yearly financial statement audits. Lastly, I coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute companywide SAP implementation and integrate various organizational systems for smooth transactions.

I was appointed as Controller in 2009 and I used to administer overall accounting operations for the company and supervise staff to appropriately execute day-to-day tasks while adhering to company SOPs and guidelines. Furthermore, I facilitated auditors in gathering financial records and implementing best practices to ensure accuracy and data authenticity. My duties involved handling and resolving complex issues including earned/unearned premium, ceded reinsurance, loss reserves, investments, and deferred acquisition costs. Lastly, I generated quarterly/annual statutory Yellow Book filings; processed compliance filings and communicated with regulatory agencies of 25 AIC licensed states.Designed and implemented effective financial controls, as well as integrated computer software system throughout the company to increase operational productivity.Utilized GAAP principles to convert AIC’s quarterly and yearly statutory statements.
