As Associate Community Engagement Officer I play an important support role in achieving the communications goals and objectives of The Denver Foundation. My work includes managing event planning and activities for high-level TDF community engagement. I continue to work closely with the other members of the communications team and a variety of internal and external stakeholders.My role consists of two primary functions:Community AmbassadorI serve as the Foundation’s community outreach and engagement ambassador via events and through storytelling with an emphasis on digital media. I help to facilitate the planning, organization, and execution of online events hosted by the Foundation. A key function of my role is to ensure excellent quality, consistency, and stakeholder experience; and ensure events align with TDF’s brand and values, including inclusion and racial equity. I also contribute to the design and dissemination of print and digital advertisements, invitations, collateral, and handouts for TDF events. Content Generation/ContributionI use digital media to elevate the experience and impact of community engagement eventsCreate original content for digital platforms including Floodlight and social media including video, live streams, and podcasts. I independently collect, edit, and publish high-quality digital content. Contribute content to the Foundation’s publications. In addition to providing production support and/or actual production of assets for Foundation communications projects (photoshoots, video shoots, etc.) when needed.

As a Communications Associate at The Denver Foundation, I worked in service of achieving the communications goals and objectives of the Foundation. Contributing to and planning internal and external communications. My work encompassed everything from tracking media coverage and placement, to managing social media accounts, and reviewing content for accuracy. As a Communications Associate, I worked closely with the other members of the communications team and a variety of internal and external stakeholders to support The Denver Foundation's mission.

Craft and manage external communications for the organization through direct email campaigns, quarterly newsletters, press releases and blogging. Regular updates and maintenance of the organization’s website and various social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). Digital engagement with community partners, donors, and volunteers. Represent the organization in the press, both on radio and television. Appear for speaking engagements at local, regional, and national conferences, as well as class presentations in local schools, at all grade levels including higher education institutions. Management and growth of organization’s contact list for fundraising and volunteering purposes. Coordinator and promoter of organization’s volunteer projects and certain fundraising activities and events, coordinating over a thousand volunteers each year to help the organization achieve its goals in various program areas. Building fundraising partnerships with Denver area corporations and local businesses through corporate volunteer service projects.
