The moment my first two-year-old class learned to write their names, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. To see their excitement of accomplishment of something that will stick with them forever and knowing you had something to do with it, is the best feeling ever!Between helping my pre-k teachers throughout the school year, volunteering as the children’s church leader at Spirit of Excellence, and 16 years of my own education, I’ve spent many hours in the classroom. I especially love working with pre-k children as they develop important life and educational skills. Now that I am entering my junior year at The University of Mississippi, I am taking the necessary courses to complete my certification in Early Childhood and learn more about child development and classroom best practices. I hope to be a Pre-K teacher who not only inspires students to be their best but to show them that they are important and loved, which leaves them feeling great about themselves!
