Delecia J.N. Robertson retired as Dean of Counseling and Special Services from the Delta Community College in June 2019, after serving as an administrator and student services professional for 25 years. Ms. Robertson has extensive experience in higher education with the priority of student learning, strategic planning, project and program design development. She is accomplished in collaboratively leading and managing interdisciplinary teams of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to pursue and capture large budget/funding opportunities for direct program work, or to design and deliver projects to improve organizational programs or operations.

-Directs and supervises all counseling services (i.e. general counseling, EOPS/CARE, DSPS, career transfer center, outreach,Puente project, AFFIRM-Umoja program, Athletic counseling)-Assumes overall responsibility of the student services division in the absence of the Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Student Services-Manages and coordinates counseling services for the main campus and centers-Campus Student Success and Support Program officer; responsible for managing the student success program budget and Chair of Student Success & Support Program committee-Campus student discipline & grievance Hearing Officer; responsible for managing student appeal hearings-Manage the portfolio of degree and non-degree offerings, schedule faculty teaching assignments and develop curriculum-Evaluate all management, faculty and staff in counseling division-Oversee the campus Academic Alert Program, an early alert intervention program that provides follow-up counseling for students having academic problems, lacking educational objectives, or on academic probation-Develop counseling division student learning outcomes and assessment tools to ensure meet accreditation standards-Manages budget for counseling, prepares and submits reports for the division-Works cooperatively with other student services programs and with instructional divisions-assists the college in creating a campus environment that values and reflects mult-cultural diversity

-Directs and supervises general counseling ( work experience/internships, transfer center, job employment services, Puente, athletic counseling, RISE probation program, Articulation)-Manages and coordinates counseling services for the main campus and outreach centers-develops and implements a system of tracking students-evaluates and coordinates all Human Career development courses-responsible for coordination and implementation of advisement, and follow-up counseling with students having academic problems, lacking eduational objectives, or on academic probation-Manages budget for counseling, prepares and submits reports for the department-works cooperatively with other student services programs and with instructional divisions-assists the college in creating a campus environment that values and reflects mult-cultural diversity

-Served as member of the district's management team to provide leadership in student services programs: disabled students, veterans, EOP&S/Care, Calworks, financial aid, Commencement, Student Equity, Police Services, Puente, and Discipline-developed strategies to support recruitment and enrollment management goals-encouraged a climate whic promoted innovation and student friendly processes-Developed and implemented a student mentor program

-Supervised and evaluated all activities associated with admissions and enrollments-Ensured accuracy of attendance and other state reports-Coordinated matriculation program and outreach planning-Developed cross enrollment program to enable students to enroll at Sonoma State University
