Delia Reid joined the Stuart Foundation in 2016. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was the Vice President of Programs for Metta Fund which works to improve health in San Francisco. She established that foundation’s grantmaking and provided clarity and transparency by advocating that it no longer be an anonymous funder and created its first website and annual reports. As a program advisor to Grantmakers In Health, Delia helped hundreds of foundations across the country through professional development and onsite technical assistance that focused on foundation operations, governance, grantmaking and communications. She has had a lifelong love of creativity and the arts and studied literature and art history at Bennington College. Her career in philanthropy was sparked by administering grant funds for the National Endowment for the Arts at the National Assembly of Local Arts Agencies (now known as Americans for the Arts). Her communications work has been recognized by the Council on Foundations and her personal writing has been featured on National Public Radio and by the California Writers Club.
