I am passionate about helping entrepreneurs access the aligned capital they need to create and grow great companies. As the VP of Capital Formation for Toronto Stock Exchange, I work with US companies to consider listing and financing in the Canadian capital markets. As the founder of Fortuna Funding (a consulting firm), I work with early-stage companies on their business and funding strategy and on getting investor-ready. As a capital markets expert, I have advised many companies on the going public process and can provide an understanding of private and public financing options in Canada and the United States. I am very active in the Southern California entrepreneur community, including as a frequent speaker and pitch coach. I am also the Executive Director and Co-Founder of We Are Enough, a non-profit that educates women on why and how to invest in women-owned businesses and/or with a gender lens. I hold an MBA in Enterprise Development and a BA in English, and have completed a certification as a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner.Disclaimer: the posts on this account reflect my personal opinion only, and do not reflect the opinion of TMX Group Limited or its affiliates.

Vice President, Us Capital FormationTmx Group Mar 2018 - PresentToronto, CaUnder the TMX Group parent company, Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) provide a unique listing and financing opportunity ($5M to $100M) for companies around the world, including in the United States. As the VP of US Capital Formation, I am responsible for promoting TSX as an exit and liquidity path for VC and family offices for US companies with $30M+ in revenues and market caps below $500M. Listing on TSX provides access to institutional investors and analyst coverage unlikely for small cap companies on the US markets.TSX Venture Exchange is the only regulated public venture capital market in the world and is an alternative to B-D round funding for companies $5M to $30M in revenues looking to access growth capital. With right-sized regulation, access to a robust retail investor market and follow-on financings, and unique listing structures, TSXV can be a great stepping stone to graduating to TSX and eventually interlisting on a US exchange. +120 US companies and 20 California companies have successfully raised capital via TSX and TSXV. If you are a founder of a US company or a VC of a promising portfolio company, I would be delighted to assist in exploring TSX and TSXV and the various offerings including the bought deal concept, SPACs, and the unique Capital Pool Company (CPC) structure. -
