Senior Manager, Test Engineering
CurrentTest Equipment Engineering:• Accountable for equipment engineering and 24x7 operational enablement for Component Test Operation. It spans ~950+ equipment with ~50+ different types of platform & a total workforce strength of ~ 180 Team members (Managers, Engineers & technicians).• Consistently delivered Burn, ATE Test, Post Electrical marking, packaging equipment capability, availability, productivity at zero Safety & Quality events to ensure all revenue opportunities are realized.• Enabled legacy tool refresh to TOR at minimum Capex through capacity improvement projects like OEE improvement, Test Step reduction & automation.• In close collaboration with KEG, developed road map & enabled equipment’s in correlation to new product / technology road map.• Strategized PM scheduling & eliminated long PMs during quarter ends. This is to ensure tool & manpower availability to capitalize on potential revenue upside opportunity / to manage unforeseen variability in loading linearity or quality deviations.• Inculcated productivity improvement datamation tools, pass-down reports, KPI dashboards & continuously driving engineer, technician productivity improvement. This also has positive impact on engagement & work-life balance of team members.• Besides preventive maintenance programs, introduced data driven predictive maintenance programs to improve availability of tools.• Enhanced technician skills through training, medium complexity QIT / QC projects to improve machine alarm / PPJ. Improved in-house repair / part recovery / reverse engineering / 3D printing to extend platform life as well as reduce R&M cost.• Achieved best in site technician operational compliance & consistently maintained best in class 6S rating across engineering labs & repair center.• Enabled First of a Kind Tester Automation & Continuous lot flow to improve tool utilization and operational efficiency.
