Detail oriented, ambitious, and passionate about learning about new technologies. I have 6 years of coding experience that includes writing Python, Java, and C/C++ programs that meet and exceed expectations. I have also had experience with C#, JavaScript, and SQL, as well as the Agile/Scrum software development life cycle.I am very passionate about the fields of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and enjoy learning about all the advancements within the field and how these new technologies are going to shape the future of data and computing.I have 7 years of experience in customer-based IT support. This experience has helped me hone written and verbal communication skills and allowed me to learn many useful things about computer hardware and software. The day-to-day customer interactions also allowed me to practice my ability to explain complex topics in an easy-to-understand way to others.Some past and current projects I have worked on are:- A student device inventory and collection system that aids with the end-of-year take-up of school devices. Allows the user to scan device tags with a barcode scanner and creates inventory files containing relevant student and computer information.- A computer vision application that allows the user to control a computer's mouse inputs (moving, clicking, scrolling) using only a webcam.- A USGS height map data visualizer that displays an image of a user defined latitude/longitude area. Functionalities for image tiling and zooming were also implemented. - A few smaller web-scraping based applications that obtained and cleaned data from various websites.I believe that hard work, determination, and a good communication are three keys to success. I aspire to be the best software developer and person that I can be, both on and off the job. I am excited to see what kind of technological advancements the future holds and what kind of experiences await me.
