I am a non-profit executive with 20+ years experience in leadership teams, team development and management, Board of Directors administration, management and leadership, fundraising, project management, group training, and public speaking experience. I have worked with small grassroots organizations and large non-profit companies. Since late 2011 I have served as primary caregiver for my mother who has Alzheimer's. All of my non-profit skills and experience serve me well even in this environment. Since 2015 I have participated in the PG County Walk to End Alzheimer's by leading a team and being a top fundraiser for 3 consecutive years. I have chosen to alter my life in order to care for my mother and have found it challenging and rewarding.Writing has played a major role in my professional life. I have written policy and procedure, a staff handbook, proposals, fundraising letters, communications to the board of directors, blog posts, letters and emails on behalf of the CEO, newsletter articles, social media posts, and just about every and anything else needed to assure that the organizations message is being successfully shared with the public and in-house.My current work at Carolina Missionary Baptist Church and The Village allow me to use all of my skills, knowledge, and experience.
