After assuming an additional role as the weekend copy editor duties for all of the Brunswick News publications owned by Postmedia, I successfully managed the copy edit desk on weekends, posting several stories a day to the website and social media for three daily publications and several weeklies using Facebook Content Creator (which was replaced by Meta Business Suite) and Tweetdeck. I also filed breaking/spot news stories from across New Brunswick for various publications and/or the province’s paper of record, the Telegraph-Journal. Many of these pieces generated new website subscriptions and allowed me to be among the company’s leaders in online traffic.

I joined the Postmedia group as a reporter and photographer for the Miramichi Leader after Postmedia’s acquisition of Brunswick News was finalized in March 2022. I eventually built on my previously demonstrated ability to perform both reporting and editing duties as the sole reporter for the Leader. For several months, I also filed at least a few stories a week for The Northern Light newspaper in Bathurst to assist during a staffing shortage and led coverage of major provincial stories in the Bathurst area, including provincial byelections in which a party leader won her seat and a public consultation session on proposed changes to the province’s French immersion program in the anglophone education sector.

In October 2021, I released my debut non-fiction book, "Woodstock: New Brunswick's Oldest Town Through the Years."From a prominent Indigenous village to a railway hub, and from a riot to a park on an island, Woodstock has a rich history. While many aspects of New Brunswick's oldest incorporated town are well known, others are rarely discussed, and previous publications capturing these stories have long gone out of print. I have consistently been among the top reporters at the weekly publications in online readership.I grew as a reporter by covering stories on many compelling topics of local and provincial interest. Highlights include, but aren't limited to, leading coverage of a national baseball tournament and a small community's successful Kraft Hockeyville bid, from start to finish, and completing an investigation into violence in New Brunswick's provincial corrections system. Through this role, I helped to grow the organization's social media presence quickly and implemented a communications and public relations strategy for a successful boundary expansion project, with the messaging strategy aimed at explaining why Downtown Fredericton should expand its geographical boundaries to encompass a larger area that many people had long considered to be part of the city’s downtown.
