At 3Degrees, we were passionate about addressing climate change. That’s why we worked to offer comprehensive clean energy services that enabled organizations, utilities and individuals to transition towards a low-carbon economy. We helped hundreds of organizations incorporate clean energy and greenhouse gas emission reduction strategies into their business operations. And we connected over 150,000 residential customers with renewable energy through our utility and community solar partnerships. We did this through our custom renewable energy and carbon mitigation solutions that met each client at every step of the way.

With funding from our members, we researched the challenges confronting California’s environment and educated the public about what’s at stake. Through our research reports, news conferences, interviews with reporters, op-ed pieces, letters to the editor, blogs and more, we raised awareness of environmental issues and promote sensible solutions. Our canvassers meet people where they are — in public places or door to door — raising awareness, recruiting new supporters and activists, and raising funds to support our work and make positive and lasting changes to our communities.

I worked on implementing lasting connections with local non-profits to promote environmental awareness and providing resource education for our members. From creating programs that instill a lifetime of environmental stewardship with our youth, to designing educational classes on the fundamentals of outdoor activities, my work with REI was varied, full of adventures and new experiences, and always exciting.
