I'm excited to announce my role at Peregian Digital Hub has transitioned from contract to full-time employee (March 2023).Peregian Digital Hub is a Noosa Council initiative - to build a local technology sector and help diversify the region's economy.This role began part-time alongside my work on CEED Program. After closing CEED (end of 2020), I am excited to focus on the Hub's digital industry and talent development programs and therefore outcomes for our region's emerging digital/tech sector, entrepreneurs and talented youth who are keen to explore STEM / STEAM study and career pathways.

CreateNoosa is a not-for-profit group of 3D creatives / artists / technologists who aim to build a local ecosystem and Centre of Excellence for 3D / immersive / creative tech and robotic/computer vision. We have a 10 year vision to help Noosa/Sunshine Coast residents build cutting-edge skills and experience to enable locals to ride the next wave of high value, in-demand careers / business opportunities in these emerging industries, whilst enjoying Noosa/Sunshine Coast's enviable lifestyle.Our first initiative (May 2017) was a 'world first' inter-school Virtual Reality Art competition for Noosa's 7 high schools. 47 students submitted their VR artworks to the competition. Prizes were awarded to 3 winners on 12 June, by Noosa Mayor Tony Wellington.On 11 November 2017, we held a one day conference (Immerse 2017) which brought world-class creative technology practitioners to Peregian Springs (Sunshine Coast/Noosa) - to inspire 150+ local artists and creatives with their cutting edge 3D/VR/AR art practice and careers. The program also included 11 'demo zones' so local artists could get 'hands on' with the technologies. Graham Willett and I decided to close the CEED Program at the end of 2020, after 29 years and training over 1200 final year/Masters level Engineering and IT students (and the occasional Business, Science student). We thank all of our wonderful industry partners, past students, and University partners for their support over many successful years of CEED.-------Through the CEED Program (Qld), operated by Corporation Technologies, I help clients from industry and government to link with senior University students from Qld Uni of Technology (QUT), Univ. of Queensland (UQ), Univ. of Southern Queensland (USQ) and Univ. of Sydney (USYD) for specific project work. Final year and coursework Masters students are available from Engineering, IT, Science, Business, Sustainable Management (and others by request). Projects are completed by the students as part of their University coursework.This is a rewarding position in many ways. I assist clients to gain good project results (thru students' skills, enthusiasm and dedicated focus). The company also has an opportunity to mentor and contribute to the training & development of an emerging professional. The students gain invaluable experience (and confidence) by planning & managing a real project, for a company. They also receive mentoring from an industry professional, supervision from their Uni supervisor and us at the CEED Program, plus academic credit and a scholarship. It's a real win-win for all involved.

When I moved to Brisbane, I contracted with a few companies (via TMP Worldwide/Hudson), to get a feel for the type of company and industry I'd like to move into (I'd only known the property industry up til then). These companies included GBST (12mths), the University of Queensland (6mths+), Qld State Government - Dept of Housing, and Nayler Recruitment.

Melbourne-based company - commercial property development, serviced offices, business services, and more recently - art hotels.From scratch, I built and managed an up-market serviced office and business services company within APBC's redeveloped commercial property - Princess Tower, Kew. Average monthly t/o $90k. Staff - 4. Left this position to move to Brisbane.

1982 - started with Civil & Civic (Head Office Design) as Receptionist (Sydney)1994 - moved to Lend Lease Commercial, as Personal Assistant (Sydney).1997 - Moved to Lend Lease Retail, as PA to Director of Marketing, Leasing & Retail Planning (Sydney) 1989, moved to Lend Lease Retail, as PA to Branch Manager (Melbourne)1990, I began part-time study (Marketing) at Swinburne (graduating in 1996).1990, I moved with Lend Lease Retail to help setup a newly purchased shopping centre's systems - as Office & Leasing Administration Manager (Capital Centre, Dandenong - Melbourne).While at Dandenong, my colleagues nominated me for a "Chairman's Award" in 1991 - and I was voted a national Finalist. This was in recognition of "achievements as Capital Centre Administration Manager and for the extra dimensions you have added to your job through your genuine interest in your fellow employees and the centre's tenants and their families".In 1992, I left Lend Lease to join Richard Ellis, as Marketing Manager, Brandon Park Shopping Centre (Melbourne).
