Aerospace EngineerNasa Goddard Space Flight Center Nov 2021 - Jun 2024Greenbelt, Md, UsAs an Aerospace Engineer AST-Navigation, Guidance, and Control Systems at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, I continue my support on OSAM-1, an autonomous robotic satellite servicing and manufacturing mission. OSAM-1 will be a robotic spacecraft equipped with tools, technologies, and techniques needed to service satellites and extend their lifespans-even if they were not designed to be serviced in orbit. The Kodiak LiDAR system's primary goal is to locate and rendezvous with Landsat-7 to assist in refueling. As the Mechanical GSE Systems Lead for the Kodiak LiDAR Team, as a part of the OSAM-1 NASA mission, I am responsible for the design, procurement, quality, assembly, testing, and integration of several MGSE systems with flight hardware into several environmental conditions. To accomplish this goal I direct a small team of multi-disciplinary engineers to come together to build MGSE that ensures performance is measured under flight-like conditions. -

Associate Mechanical EngineerNasa Goddard Space Flight Center Jun 2019 - Sep 2019Greenbelt, Md, Us• Tasked with analyzing the electrical and mechanical performance of two third-party reaction wheels for planned usage in four upcoming CubeSat missions for NASA. Developed procedures to test reaction wheels, through extensive research on each product, collaboration with engineers, and working with manufacturers to fully understand their products.• Using the aforementioned test procedures, the wheels were tested under thermal, vibratory, and vacuum conditions.Processed data into an easily readable format. The test data will be used to create a profile for NASA’s hardware usage guidelines, helping NASA engineers make more informed decisions when selecting hardware for flight missions.• Designed interface plates to mount the reaction wheels to several pieces of test equipment, while considering both thermal and vibratory conditions. This allowed for the reliable collection of data ensuring wheel capabilities are accurately identified.• Assisted in developing an instruction manual for a new mechanical analysis test system to be used by NASA engineers insubsequent testing. This was achieved by communicating with the manufacturer, performing empirical tests, and blending individual technical operation manuals together coherently for easy use.• Lead a pre-test review to senior staff; answering questions and recording feedback to implement revisions of the test procedures. The meeting ensured that testing would occur on schedule, and provided an increase in presentation skills.• Developed a good working relationship with personnel within the machine shop allowing for an increased understanding of the optimal capabilities of the machinists. This understanding lead to increased quality and decreased production time for the project’s machined parts. -
Quailty Control InspectorRk&K Jun 2018 - Aug 2018Baltimore, Md, Us• Produced technical documents for foremen outlining dimensions and the amount of material needed for patches utilizing a custom MATLAB calculator. These documents helped foremen properly instruct their laborers, on how to complete the job.• Assessed the quality of patches in real time to help to ensure adequacy of compliance with quality and technical requirements. Doing so help minimize the production time and keep the project on the projected time schedule.• Analyzed roads and highways for potential reconstruction and submitted a report to the area engineer. My evaluations directly contributed to a spending proposal being developed by the Maryland Department of Transportation for Allegany County.• Assessed the quality of high traffic US bridge during renovations/reconstruction through quality audits. These audits were utilized with management to ensure the reliability and safety of the structure. -
Engineering Intern Level 2Hensel Phelps Jun 2017 - Aug 2017Greeley, Co, Us• Assisted in facilitating designs, layouts, refinements, and coordinating the construction and quality of building the interior, exterior, and finish; including EIFS, concrete testing, punch-list etc. These action maintained high-quality standards of Ownership.• Evaluated technical documents of proposed products to be used in the hotel to create engineering packages to be distributed to the architects for approval. Efficient package delivery maintained a positive general contractor and architecture relationship as well as staying on the production schedule.• Assisted with the design of the entrance ramp for the hotel. Played an integral role in the material selection for the support material used in the ramp to meet pressure ratings for emergency vehicles. Using an alternative material help maintain strength while lowering cost.• Gave written and oral presentations weekly on ongoing tasks to upper management. This task helped develop feedback implementation skill as well as technical oral presentation skills. -
Learning AssistantFrostburg State University Aug 2016 - May 2017Frostburg, Md, Us• Improved student understanding the material by asking leading questions and evaluating their responses for gaps in the information they may have. These actions helped students better understand complex concepts and increase confidence.• Completed students' assignments ahead of class to help locate potential problem areas for students and improve advice.
