Educate the incoming students on resource tools needed for college success

Oversee the daily operations at Career Services Center.Counsel students, community member and alumni with their Career needs.

• Advising student clubs/organizations on planning activities, fundraisers, recruitment, publicity and special events.• Acting as liaison for the students and administrators for Inter-Club Council (Programming Board) and Student Government Association for all information concerning the clubs and their activities, including charters, fundraisers, trips and expenditures.• Responsible for overseeing the completion and submission of membership report /student profile forms, and fees to headquarters as the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society Advisor. • Organizing the annual Fall, Winter & Spring Fests in which clubs/organizations and the school’s programs/services provide information to new and current students at this fun-filled event.• Implementing a student life recruitment process at the new student orientation and registration workshops. • Executing large or complex educational, cultural, and entertainment events.• Coordinating special events on and off campus with committees including students, and administrators such as school anniversary, graduation, job fairs and school’s referendum. • Plan the College Leadership Development Series for students and staff.• Develop and Communicate policies within Student Life Programs and Services.• Preparing budgets based on previous budget figures and estimate revenue and expenses.• Supervise, hire and manage staff and interns to assist with operations of the Student Union.• Oversee a 52,000 square foot Student Union which includes Café, Lounges, Game room, Club/Organizations suite, Student Art Gallery & Convenience Store. • Serve on various college committees such as Sustainability Leadership Team, AQIP, Datatel Implementation, Campus Civility and Recruitment and Retention.

• Assisted students and graduates with resume writing, interviewing skills, and job search strategies.• Coordinated the activities of job placement service such as job fairs, open houses, and career expos for students /graduates. • Responsible for classroom presentations, setting-up mock interviews, and providing career workshops. • Established and maintain working relationships with local employers in order to promote the use of our programs and services – Internships.• Worked with various student clubs and organizations for sponsorship.
