These young people were given a bioengineering challenge and were in need of a kind and considerate person to give feedback. Dean did so with enthusiasm. He was also able to speak to these middle school students on their level. In seeing his interactions with faculty and staff, it is a pleasure to see he values each person for what they are able to contribute to the department.
