My role as president had me deliver a range of communication initiatives to ensure all goals and objectives within the society were met. I also had to navigate and lead through the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown periods. Key responsibilities- Coordinating and-producing major events with key industry leaders such as OMD, Spark Foundry and Rishad Tobaccowala- Lead and supervised a team whose interests, concerns, and objectives needed to be managed and understood - Producing and coordinating multiple events within the Communication and Media cohort- Providing support and assistance to multiple personnel within the Communication and Media Cohort, including the program director and unit coordinators- Social media creation and scheduling- Ensure that all initiatives fit within UCOMMS key messages, objectives, and brand guidelines- Being the first-responder to any issues that arose within the society, or the Cohort as a whole - Organising and overseeing events, transactions and promotional material that UCOMMS produced- Ensured all events had COVID-19 rules and regulations in place, including writing and formulating documents to be approved by the University of Canberra
