As a first-generation college student from Houston, Texas, I am driven by my passion for advocacy, justice, and the empowerment of marginalized communities. Currently majoring in Political Science at Spelman College, I am working toward becoming a criminal defense attorney with a focus on criminal justice reform. My ultimate goal is to not only defend those without a voice but also to serve as a U.S. Senator, shaping laws that protect and uplift underrepresented communities.My experience as a program assistant for the Mandela Washington Fellowship, an intern at Restoring Justice in Houston, and my involvement in campus organizations like Utopia Atlanta and the Morehouse Spelman Pre-Law Society have all shaped my dedication to equity and service. I have assisted with legal research, supported attorneys in the courtroom, and worked alongside social workers to provide holistic defense for those in need.
