Dena is a solutions-oriented executive with notable success directing a broad range of corporate Information Technology, Revenue Cycle and Value Based care initiatives while participating in planning, analysis, and implementation of healthcare and industry technologies in direct support of business objectives. She started her career at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in the Information Technology Department as a Data Processing Clerk and within a year moved to the Assistant Director position. In 2007 she took on a new role as the Director of Revenue Cycle that had the responsibility of managing four departments within the facility: Admissions, Hospital Billing, Physician Billing and Centralized Scheduling. In October of 2009 she moved back to the Information Technology Department as the Director and for nine months she served in a dual capacity as Director over both departments until a new Director of Revenue Cycle was hired. In March 2017 she was promoted to Chief Information Officer. In May 2019 she took on the role of Chief Administrative Officer at Harmon Memorial Hospital, a Critical Access Hospital that JCMH had recently obtained. In March 2021 she resigned from her position at the hospital to pursue a full-time position with Imperium Health as a Value Based Program Specialist who supports ACO in their value based care initiatives. She served as the HIPAA Security Officer and chaired several different committees while she was employed at JCMH as well as being instrumental in making sure that the facility met the Meaningful Use requirements for both the hospital and clinic providers.Dena’s greatest strengths are her creativity, drive, leadership and willingness to help others. She thrives on challenges, particularly those that resolve a problem or streamline a process for the betterment of the organization. She also has a passion for helping others and enjoys being able to show people how to do something new or different. She believes that a team approach is essential in today’s environment of constantly changing regulatory requirements, advancing technology, coordination of care between facilities and the continual decline of reimbursements for healthcare facilities.
