Had the pleasure of developing digital experiences copy for the Brand & Partnerships team in the Starbucks Creative Studio. This included collaborating on ideation and execution of projects for Starbucks Rewards, the Artist Collaboration program and the Partner app, among others. I also jumped in to support other teams as needed—writing and editing for a variety of assets including in-store menu/signage, seasonal gift cards, owned social for DoorDash promotions, and more. All projects required quick familiarization with brand, seasonal and individual program expression guidelines. It was great to be back in the studio and to work with so many smart and talented people.

Joined the newly formed consumables private brands (CPB) team in 2017 as a Sr. Copywriter and grew into an ACD, copy role. Versatile, collaborative and productive, I contributed creative work for all CPB brands, and jumped in to help AFS, Amazon Kitchen, and Amazon Go when those teams needed copy help. In addition to copywriting, I owned strategic development of several CPB brand guidelines, brand and product naming; crafted several brands' voices , and created numerous marketing assets and detail pages for CPB brands and products. Helped raise the profile of CPB and Amazon copywriters by organizing the company's first Writers Panel event as well as contributed to amazon.design, the external-facing site of Amazon Design Community, the company's global community of creative professionals. Also participated in the company's mentoring program as well as Amazon's mentoring program with UW.Forte favorite: "Dena's ability to whip up romance copy based on a series of dry legalclaims is extraordinary to watch." (Hey--I'll always try! I like to support a brand from headline to mice type whenever possible.)

Collaborated with fellow creatives and business units to support the voice of Starbucks in promotions, packaging, collateral, signage, and brand development. Contributed to promotional creative for Teavana and The Starbucks Reserve Roastery, as well as naming for multiple concept initiatives.

Collaborated with Burns creative and account teams to present and provide effective marketing solutions to B2B clients, with an emphasis on technology. Developed compelling concepts and strategic messaging to drive results and nurture long-term relationships. Projects included brand development, integrated marketing campaigns, trade show concepts, and a variety of content from eBooks and white papers to video and social posts. Clients included MGMA, HPE, Coalfire, Trimble Navigation, Fortinet, and Highlands Ranch.
