I’ve just joined Chief, a private network built to drive more women into positions of power and keep them there. Chief is the only organization specifically designed for the most powerful women executives to strengthen their leadership, magnify their influence, and pave the way to bring others with them.

I produce weekend morning newscasts. During the week, I write local and national stories presented in the newscast. I also help produce more complex stories utilizing graphics and other visuals. Additionally, I fill-in for the noon newscast.

I produce weekend evening newscasts. During the week, I am a fill-in evening and noon producer and write local, regional, national, and international stories for the newscast.

I book guests, find products, log, and write scripts for morning segment, “Try It Before You Buy It”. I Write cut-ins for weekday morning show, assist with writing for the Saturday morning show, and fill in writing for weekday morning show. I also help guests, set up live shows, and crowd controlled for “This Is Home” Summer Road Series. During the summer, I became lead help desk producer for “This Is Home” series. I previously researched content and wrote scripts for Help Desk Segment as well as facilitate and book guests for other events such as phone banks and expert panels. I also work the assignment desk.

Work with marketing team to establish social media goals. Build, monitor, and engage corporate as well as local Facebook database initiatives for 20 locations. Monitor Yelp, Urban Spoon, Google+, and Foursquare for all locations.Was recently added the duty of managing text message program.

Researched information about potential clients, public relation ideas, and other related research. Answered phones, sent mail, and other office duties.

Helped support grassroots efforts, and sent out alerts that were relevant to the causes of the AHA. Reviewed issues and bills discussed during legislation proceeding as well as attended legislation proceedings.

Managed Mayor Villaraigosa’s Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Vimeo, YouTube, Flickr, blogs, and website, as well as created Facebook Fan pages for events, increased fans for the pages, and helped increase Twitter following. Posted Press Releases on site as well as did simple editing to site. Organized new media aide’s schedule, answered phones, wrote congratulatory letters, and made a social media intern checklist for future interns.

3 week internship for high school graduation. Wrote press releases, took photographs of pieces, and interviewed artists for future press releases. Designed and printed brochures for upcoming plays and performances. Answered phones and called artists about participation in MeccaFest.
