Immediately after graduating with my undergraduate degree, I began studio managing at high-end audio and video post-production boutique with clients including Travel Channel, Sesame Workshop, and TV One. As studio manager, I acted as liaison among cable network producers/directors/editors, and studio editors/sound designers, built and managed client and potential client databases, optimized the company website for search engines, converted video to optimize for posting to a website, company FTP, or burning to DVD.Though I would leave post-production for live broadcasting, I garnered many skills and much knowledge from my time working at the studio, including effective media organization, company-client dynamics and the importance of clear and precise communication (both within a company and between company and client), and the necessary critical eye for quality when delivering a finished product.
