I love my job here at IRIS! We help our clients manage, deliver, and measure their marketing efforts. That means we work on a variety of projects, for different industries, with a lot of great people. We create innovative solutions for marketing logistics challenges by combining technology, procurement experience, and a "can-do" mindset for customized results.My role has two parts. One is project management for some of our larger clients; I ensure that all facets of a project work smoothly and pull together all the resources needed to deliver a quality solution to our clients. The control freak in me loves managing schedules, budgets, processes, workflow, items, and deadlines. And as a people pleaser, I love being able to make our clients’ jobs easier by taking care of projects for them.I supervise a great group of other project managers, too. We work on everything from printing brochures to sourcing ad specialties, designing e-commerce sites to producing custom items in China, developing and distributing sales kits – you name it. There really isn’t a marketing challenge we won’t try to solve.The other part of my job is to provide operational support. That covers things like spearheading our recent office move, developing or tweaking internal processes, workflow and profitability reporting, personnel matters, assisting in onboarding new online clients, and other administrative tasks. This is satisfying in a completely different way. So I’m lucky to have a good balance in my job.No two days are ever the same, and I’m continually learning new things. So it’s always fun to see what tomorrow brings!
