Stress analysis and LCF calculation of commercial aero enginesBuilding of 2D Global nominal model with axisymmetric elements, plane stress elements, mass elements and spring elements in order to simulate HPC components with thermal, pressure and rotational velocity load conditions

Non-linear stress analysis is carried out for operating condition and hydro-test applications. Axisymmetric, shell and solid FE models were created with good quality hex/quad mesh appropriately for various analysis. Successfully simulated complex contact behaviours and load conditions including imported loads from CFD analysis.• Stress analysis of control valves, bolted, threaded and welded joints used in semi-cryogenic engine.Simulations were carried out for studying structural integrity, leak tightness and joint stiffness for various types of joints. Hand calculations are also performed along with FE analysis to obtain accurate results. • Structural analysis of turbine rotor and impeller of semi cryogenic engine.Structural analysis was carried out for under different rotational speeds and operating load conditions including imported loads from CFD analysis to study the stress and deformation generated in impeller and turbine rotor assembly.• Vibration analysis of turbo pump shaft and test assembly of cryogenic engine (CUS) Modal and random vibration analysis is carried out to compute natural frequencies and critical modes of the structure. Response for random input signal was also studied and recommended design modifications.

Designed & modeled parts as required for leading manufacturer of DTH button bits, PDC bits, hammers, water well drilling rigs, RC rigs, core drilling rigs and spares. Generated 3D models by reverse engineering existing components and converted 2D drafts to 3D models using CATIA & Auto CADD workbenches.
