Throughout my life as a social entrepreneur and activist, I've always asked: How can we deliberately and consciously create a more caring world, with dignity and integrity?Rather than share conventional, dry resume details, I'll share a few things about me: - Created a forerunner to Taskrabbit in the mid-80s; Executive Timesavers ("E.T.: Don't Phone Home, Phone Us"​).- Created first organic, socially responsible mail-order gift basket social enterprise in the late 80s.- When I couldn't find a coordinator to volunteer for the 20th Anniversary Earth Day activities in 1990, I ended up becoming that person -- for the entire Mid-Atlantic Region.- The day after Hurricane Sandy hit the NY/NJ area, I discovered that FEMA first responders didn't have healthcare benefits. When I see a need without an existing viable solution, I work to create one which is ecosystem aware and contributes to more wholistic systems.
