I have recently completed a Diploma of Construction, in Construction Management, at Unitec, and am looking to secure a relevant entry-level role. The Diploma gave me a broad understanding of the construction industry as a whole, including health and safety, programming, procurement and construction contracts. I’m looking for the right opportunity to contribute, grow, and develop, within an industry leader.This is a career shift for me. Having been an audio engineer for the past 10 years, it was time for a change. Early in 2020, I enrolled in the Diploma of Construction, seeing the construction industry as an opportunity to have a dynamic, ever-changing working environment through various small to large scale infrastructure projects, and also to make a direct and positive contribution to the growth and development of our country.Whilst I am a recent graduate in the construction industry, I have had an established career in the media and audio industry, and through this have developed my interpersonal skills, reinforced my ability to work under pressure, both independently and in a team. I’ve managed and built relationships with key stakeholders, developed organisational skills, and implemented solutions to better track and manage documentation and increase efficiency within the company.Hardworking and highly organised, I see projects through from start to finish, no matter how big or small. I have an analytical eye which enhances the quality of work that I deliver. I thrive in high pressure situations, am a trouble-shooter, and can work to tight deadlines. I’m a natural communicator and relationship builder. You will find me to be focused, proactive, and eager to deliver.
