After 23 years of being part of a tight family unit running a successful regionally based food processing company we all decided to push the eject button together. We have all landed safely, though in some different places. I have embarked on a new career in Food Safety and related training. After re-skilling (FreshCare, VITAL, TACCP, VACCP) with some new qualifications and up-grading (HACCP, Food Safety Auditing, TAE40116) existing qualifications I landed a great job with QMS Audits. While they are based in Melbourne I am still based in the sunny Hunter Valley. It works well.Presently training Food Safety based courses via Zoom. I’m enjoying it immensely, thanks for asking. It certainly gives our regionally based clients a much better opportunity to enrol and complete food safety based training, without having to drive or fly to the cities.Looking forward to what the future brings and meeting all the people that grow, process or manufacture food in this big wide land.
