Dene T. Hurley is the Dean of the Lehman College School of Business which was launched in July 2022. The school serves over 1,500 majors in three departments: Accounting, Management and Business Innovation, and Finance, Information Systems, and Economics. Before this role, she was Chair of the Department of Economics and Business and professor of economics and statistics at Lehman College. Dene’s primary research focuses on exchange rates and trade issues with application to Asian economies. Her research papers have been published in peer-reviewed journals, including Economic Papers, Hispanic Journal of Behavioral Sciences, Global Economic Review, and Applied Economics, among others. Before joining Lehman College, Dene worked as an economist in the maritime industry and environmental consulting, as well as with the Seychelles Islands' Ministry of Finance.
