Kickstarted my journey as a Graduate Trainee in the CIS-EMEA team (EU shift: 3pm-12am GMT+8), which is part of the DHL Global Forwarding and Freight (DGFF) department. My duties/tasks are as stated below:• Learned the business processes involved in DGFF, gained exposure to various types of EDI file formats, such as CSV, EDIFACT, ANSI X12 etc.• Understanding the relationship between our job/tasks and how it directly impacts the business, always ensuring customer satisfaction.• Handling tasks such as change requests and new map deployments for an array of customers, using various types of models and methods unique to their business needs.• Constantly updating the business analyst (BUIT) about the progress of the project and providing a clear timeline from start to end.• Perform release-to-production (RTP) tasks, such as updating RTCs in a timely manner, Request for Change from ServiceNow, and uploading the changes to our GitHub repository for deployment and reference purposes.• Ensuring all previous versions of files are backed up in our QA servers for future reference.• Worked on problem tickets (PRB), which can be requested by any BUIT if any errors or malfunctions occur post-RTP.Miscellaneous non-job related tasks performed:• Designed and developed an Android application for the CIS-EMEA team, which included a team calendar, useful links for work-related items and a team profile gallery.• Created an infographic video glorifying the team’s accomplishments for the year 2022, which was presented to the team and the Head of DGFF.
