In this six months internship period, I gained valuable real-world experience and knowledge in various departments namely Contracts & Procurement, Structures, Execution, Costing & Budgeting, Quality and Planning. I worked on various projects, enhancing my understanding of various aspects of construction. Through reading, training, and technical skills, I gained experience in contracting processes, structural design and analysis using software such as ETABS, quantification of civil works such as estimating concrete quantities in columns, beams and slabs, estimating the shuttering quantity, blockwork quantity, plastering quantity, bar bending schedule for slab, columns, footings, and beams, quality inspection and much more. I also developed communication, teamwork, and analytical skills, bridging my classroom knowledge with practical experience. This internship period provided me with a comprehensive understanding of construction.
