As a pharmacist at TerryWhite Chemmart Tuggerah, I am passionate about delivering inclusive, patient-centered care and advocating for the health and well-being of LGBTQIA+ individuals and Indigenous Australian communities. My goal is to foster a healthcare environment where every patient feels respected, valued, and supported.With a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) from the University of Newcastle and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Pharmacy Practice from the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, I have a strong foundation early on in my career to build on.Cultural competence and inclusivity are at the heart of my practice. I have completed specialised training to better support diverse communities, including: “Supporting the Trans & Gender Diverse Community” by Minus18 Foundation and “Deadly Pharmacist Training” by the Pharmaceutical Society of AustraliaAs a proud member of the transgender and LGBTQIA+ community, I bring a unique perspective and a deep commitment to addressing the healthcare disparities these groups often face. This personal connection drives my mission to create safe, affirming spaces for all patients, regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, or cultural background.Growing up in Maitland, I was fascinated by how medications work and their potential to improve lives. That fascination grew into a career dedicated to helping others achieve their best health. Today, I am excited to continue my journey as a pharmacist, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ health and the well-being of Indigenous Australians, and to help shape a healthcare system that embraces diversity and promotes equity for all.
