Built the Design department and created a Product Development department, growing both of their capabilities to design and develop soft and hard sided products to meet launch and business strategy goals, launching over 1000 sku’s per year.• Directed the design team to redesign the core lines and introduce new innovations that resulted in patents and double-digit growth, growing Tumi overall from $200M in 2007 to $525M in 2014.• Strategically grew the Design and Development team from a team of 4 to a team of 19 over 8 years, focusing on cross-functional assets and innovation.• Managed a 2 million dollar capital expenditure budget with over 90 design and utility patents.• Initiated and managed a comprehensive product to market process enabling the business to launch more then 500 new sku’s per season on time.• Created cross-functional partnerships to effectively anticipate and react to the needs of the business early in the design and development process.• Conceived the seasonal theme, color and print direction each season for Full price and Outlet sales platforms.• Created presentations and communication tools that promoted collaboration, constructive dialogue, and alignment of the seasonal direction. • Built and managed relationships with outside Artists, Design firms, Designers and Licenses to launch collaboration projects and seasonal brand extensions while maintaining the brand’s DNA. • Created and directed dynamic, inspirational and informative video presentations; motivating and supporting an audience of over 150 Global Sales and Distributor teams.• Participated in quarterly Executive leadership team meetings to establish long-range business and brand strategy goals.

Lead the USA Sourcing team to manage risk through capacity planning; dual sourcing and time and action calendars to meet launch deadlines.• Implemented a manufacturing program that cut replenishment deliveries from 90 days to 15 days.• Established a product to market timeline and process to meet launch and quality testing milestones.• Implemented the SAP enterprise software system transition for the sourcing department.• Built the department from 2 to 6 team members assuring the Sourcing Managers had support to maintain the SAP system.

Managed the Sourcing and the Production of all Women’s, T-Tech and Small leather goods categories.• Delivered replenishment production and new product launches on time while meeting costing targets.• Developed strong cross-functional relationships with Sales, Design, Product Management, Overseas Production / Development Departments, as well as Factories to assure alignment on launch goals.• Resourced and hired an Italian agency to follow up on production of finished products and raw materials. As of 2015 they are still providing support for Tumi in Europe.

Managed product design implementation for Kate Spade and Jack Spade collections in Asia.• Developed product and materials in U.S.A., Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, China and the Philippines.• Provided comprehensive handoff package for Production as well as created and managed timelines for new product launches.

Provided Technical and Quality support on site at contracted manufacturers to manage counter sampling, product approvals and production oversight.• Launched Coach’s first production of business bags and its first mixed material handbag collection out of China.• Evaluated dozens of factories for their potential to supply Coach with quality products. Factories under consideration were in China, Thailand, Korea, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Hungary, Turkey and U.S.A.

Developed Handbag, Business and Travel lines using in house sample making team and sourcing raw materials with U.S.A raw material suppliers.• Managed a 4 person sample room• Conducted product presentations to executive staff and district managers.
