    As a volunteer with the Communications Committee, I am helping to develop Communication strategies to help increase awareness of the work done by the Ottawa branch. Our focus is to increase the CCS presence in both traditional and social media. We have developed a pilot media project called "Ask an Expert" - a series of videos featuring Cancer experts answering questions gathered from our Twitter network. I was the on air Host for our initial video which is currently posted on Youtube. This initiative encourages CCS Facebook and Twitter followers to ask questions about cancer care, research and prevention and get answers to their specific questions and concerns. With Youtube we are able to reach a global audience and vastly increase the CCS's exposure on line. So far this initiative has been a resounding success.
