Worked on Credistock, a mobile-based credit product designed to facilitate retailer restocking. This entailed building and maintaining the internal loan administration platform and the user-oriented USSD application.My roles entailed:- Leading the development and implementation of system improvements, utilizing Python (Django) and VueJs.- Coordinating projects, refining scope and managing milestones in close collaboration with the product manager.Milestones- Engineered the automation of key internal processes, resulting in a significant reduction in engineering support time while concurrently boosting business operational efficiency.- Led the infrastructure migration of two frontend applications and two backend services from Google Cloud Platform to AWS, optimizing our resource utilization and cutting costs.

Full-Stack development primarily using (Angular and Google Cloud Functions)Attached to Syndic4You - a Belgian startup enabling simple and efficient property management for property co-owners through their platform.My role entailed:- Improving application load time by upgrading parts of the application's read-heavy database to an event-driven, CQRS design.- Developing a real-time video-conferencing and voting application to enable property co-owners to conduct live general assembly meetings in a period of 6 weeks.- Collaborating with the product owners and the QA team to ensure quality and timely delivery of a variety of feature requests.Technologies: Typescript/Angular 10+, Node JS, Jest, Google Cloud Functions, Firestore NoSQL DB.

A Kenyan property management startup focused on digitizing real estate management by creating a platform that enables property managers and landlords easily manage their rental investments .My role entailed developing the version 1.0 of their application using Python/Django on the backend and Angular/Typescript on the frontend. AgriQ & Automations is an agri-tech start-up based in Kenya that develops technology aimed at solving farmers’ major pain-points and boost their productivity. My responsibilities and area of focus comprised of:- Researching into challenges facing farmers and determining possible solutions.- Drafting computer-aided designs for products aimed at solving the farmers' challenges.- Designing of printed circuit boards and writing firmware for some of the products.

The inception of this project started with my team and I tinkering with ideas for our Mechatronic Engineering class project that could potentially alleviate the huge problem of post-harvest losses which many smallholder horticultural farmers face.We then designed and developed the Makaaridi Cooler; a modification of the existing traditional charcoal cooler. Its modification entailed integration of modern technology to improve on its efficiency while maintaining enough of the traditional design to maintain the affordability, an important aspect to the smallholder farmers.Our goal was to transition the Makaaridi Cooler from a class project to a continental solution for the smallholder farmers.The project was the overall winner in the Innov8Agric Kenya Challenge and represented Kenya for Meet The Farmers Conference in Dubai in November 2018. It was also selected by the Royal Academy of Engineering for the Leaders Innovation Fellowship Programme in London in February 2018
