CurrentA member of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD), Denis has more than 25 years of experience and is comfortable managing projects in both English and French. He has worked in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto before starting his own business in 1989 that would become Costa Leclerc Design. His experience in marketing and his artistic approach guide CLD’s strategy as well as the development of interactive initiatives, visual identities and integrated brand campaigns in either official language. Denis is the Creative Director, and manages and oversees project development.Denis has an extensive understanding of print, starting his career as a graphic designer before the rise of the digital age. He made the transition to digital in 1989 when he started his company with a single PC. He became proficient in various software including QuarkXpress toppled in 2006 by the Adobe Creative Suite.His first website was designed in 1994 at the infancy of the new technology. Since then, he has designed a plethora of web-based applications, in sync with the ever-changing technology.Accessibility and the user are foremost in all his projects, print or apps. He is a pioneer in the tagging of PDF documents, implementing this new requirement for the Ontario Government as early as 2000. Now, he uses functionalities incorporated within InDesign to generate fully accessible documents from their inception, saving time and unnecessary revisions.The capacity to learn new software and technology is key in today’s work environment. An aspect of creative development, Denis is passionate about which translates to his knowledge of education and training practices on the projects he oversees.His active collaboration with several professional associations and his participation in numerous international conferences on design and art attest to his enthusiasm for visual arts and graphic design. As a visual artist, Denis Leclerc has more than thirty exhibitions and numerous installations.
