-Design and build electric vehicle thermal system benches to support the development work of component, system and vehicle level thermal diagnostics-Mentor new engineers as they join the HIL bench team, sharing experiences and knowledge on vehicle level testing, instrumentation, electrical systems, service procedures and purchasing processes-Act as an Operation/Facility liaison by leading facility upgrade projects for the operation of the test benches-Design a secure High Voltage (HV) lab space required for building and testing electric vehicle thermal system benches; estimate construction cost and present business case to various level of mamangement; secure the required funds through a Financial Review Board and Oversee lab construction to completion

- Oversee the execution of vehice level testing in a climatic wind tunnel (CWT) performed to evaluate the thermal, HVAC and Powertrain Cooling performance of these vehicles; author test reports to document results- Develop a test plan and oversee the execution of a vehicle level test evalation performed in a climatic 4 poster chamber for the development and validation of a new vehicle feature- Manage the business and the operational budget of the test activities performed by GM and the Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE)- Review test plans from GM customers and provide mentorship as required to ensure all test are performed efficiently and keeping in mind budget and facility equipment limitations.- Provide multi-disciplinary support to the GM Engineering Operations Group, looking after preventative maintenance of engineering equipment, providing occasional garage supervision support, providing vehicle lift safety training to new engineers and providing support for various Health & Safety initiatives

- Project lead for two Advanced Technology Work (ATW) projects relative to thermoelectric technology- Collaborate with a group of GM researchers in Warren (Michigan) working on the submission for a funding opportunity from the US. Department of Energy (DOE); take a leadership role of this cross-functional team by pulling together the various technical groups including material researchers, engineering (thermal, electrical and vehicle integration) and computer aided engineering (CAE) required to support the execution of the research / advanced technology project; review the technical capabilities of various automotive suppliers in order to select the desired partners for the execution of the DOE project- Design and release responsible for vehicle components part of a High Voltage (HV) battery cooling system; lead weekly design reviews with component suppliers, review component validation test reports and coordinate pre-production assembly trial runs

-Review specific Canadian regulations and compare to equivalent regulations from the United National Economic Commission for Eurome (UNECE) and from the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard for the United States (FMVSS); prepare comparison documents-Review documents to ensure equivalence in both English and French-Perform research on specific American Regulations and assocciated incentive programs for fuel saving to determine differences and implication to vehicle driven on canadian roads

- Provide mechanical engineer support for the design of an ore process plan as part of a feasibility study by writing technical specification documents for various mining process equipment such as mills, apron feeders, hydro cyclones and rock breakers- Gained knowledge of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) code while part of a team designing an underground mine fire suppression system- Determine heating and cooling requirements of an oxygen plant as part of a feasibility study

- Part of the management leadership team, with supervisory lead for 3 separate teams; the Cold Weather Exposure Test (CWET) test analysts, the garage/machine shop technicians,and the snow removal equipment operators- Review PRTS documents written by the CWET test analysts, issued to document issues observed while conducting vehicle level cold weather durability test procedures; author end of test reports at end of cold weather season to document all issues reported for each individual vehicle- Coordinate and provide training to the test analyst group and the driver group on new upcoming technologies, changes to test procedures and personal safety in the workplace- Determine the required bi-weekly garage operation headcount needed to support the durability and special test teams as well as the GM US engineering test trips; prioritize the garage operations workload and assign the daily tasks to the garage and machine shop technicians

- Design responsible for fuel systems components of vehicles built at the Oshawa Assembly Plant- Evaluate proposed continuous improvement design changes and cost saving initiatives- Research the fuel motion behavior in blow molded fuel tanks to better understand the characteristics and noise generated due to fuel slosh- Work closely with fuel tank supplier to design, test, validate and implement a new blow molded fuel tank design that meets fuel slosh noise reduction goals and cost saving objectives

- Provide engineering support in a vehicle assembly plant environment for problem resolution relative to design, general assembly, ergonomics, quality improvements and cost saving initiatives- Acquire Journeyman Certification in the use of Red"X" strategies in statistical method of problem solving
