A series of models were developed using Taylor II and I_Think modeling software which simulated both customer activity (and queues) as the till, and computer operations in-store and at the corporate centre. The purpose of the simulation was to establish the impact of introducing a customer loyalty system upon both the technological infrastructure and customer service levels.
