I am a Production Manager at MAP Aqua, a leading tilapia producer from Central America, with over 15 years of experience in aquaculture and fisheries. I have a master's degree in project management and a strong background in agricultural production. My core competencies include genetic program, hatchery, lake growth, fish health, strategic planning, budgeting, continuous improvement, and leadership.My mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of the aquaculture sector, while ensuring the highest quality and safety standards for our products. I oversee the entire tilapia production process, from breeding to grow-out, and manage a team of 20 staff. I implement and monitor the genetic program, which improves the performance and resilience of our tilapia strains. I also supervise the hatchery, which produces over 10 million fingerlings per year, and the lake growth, which involves the management of 120 cages and 300 hectares of water surface. I apply my skills in fish health, kpis, and continuous improvement to ensure the welfare of our fish and the efficiency of our operations. I coordinate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and quality, to align our production goals and strategies.
