CurrentIlika has been pioneering materials innovation for over a decade, developing new materials for energy and electronics markets for such global leaders as Rolls Royce and Toyota. We have now created ground-breaking solid state batteries for applications in the Internet of Things. Our batteries offer distinct advantages over conventional lithium ion batteries: they’re smaller (higher energy dense), non-toxic, faster to charge, with increased life cycle, low leakage and low flammability. We’re licensing this technology to partners for IoT sensors in the Smart Home/Buildings, Medical, Automotive, Industrial and Transportation sectors.I joined Ilika in 2008, as a scientist specializing in battery technology, to manage commercial lithium ion projects. I became part of the Ilika team to apply his strong academic knowledge to commercial applications and saw the potential to be part of the development and success story of an enterprising smaller company with exciting technology and novel product ideas.
