Denis joined Expense Reduction Analysts in 1996 originally as a Principal Consultant. He thoroughly enjoyed the variety of working with a diverse range of Clients helping them to reduce expenditure across a wide range of expense categories. When the opportunity came up in 1999 to buy the NZ business, he jumped at the chance and has been Managing Director ever since. In this role, Denis is responsible for growing the business and the brand by way of franchisee recruitment and provides guidance and support to the Principal Consultants across the country. Denis has a keen interest in Client Acquisition and Management and is very active in this area.

In this role, Denis was responsible for all sales and operational matters for the international courier, mail and domestic courier divisions for Wellington and all the South Island including all financial, budget and P&L issues. In 1995, Denis was seconded to Hong Kong where he was involved in strategic operational reviews for both the Hong Kong and Taiwan depots and courier operations.

Following on from the success of the courier operations, Denis was appointed to this role. At 33, he was the youngest ever Head of Section. With dotted line sales resonsibility, Denis was responsible for all international and domestic cargo operations throughout the Central Region which covered an area from New Plymouth and Napier down to Nelson and Marlborough. With a staff of over 200, Denis had full management as well as financial responsibility.

In this role, Denis had responsibility for the efficient pickup and delivery of all Air NZ Cargo products throughout the greater Wellington area. During this time, he grew the courier fleet from 10 to 23 vehicles as well as instituting several new road linehaul runs. In addition to the 23 owner drivers, Denis managed 10 support staff. He also held full P&L responsibilities for this area.
