Experience in public and private sector senior leadership roles, academic scholarship and public advocacy. Dr Dragovic is currently a Deputy President of Australia's Administrative Appeals Tribunal (deputy secretary level) working in the migration and refugee jurisdiction as well as a member of the Australian Red Cross (Victoria) advisory board. His prior experience includes leading international NGOs in conflict and post-conflict environments in the Middle East, Africa and Asia and consulting to various United Nations agencies. During this period he headed one of the world's largest aid programs, led efforts to release the first aid worker kidnapped in Iraq and wrote the Amazon best-selling book, 'No Dancing, No Dancing: Inside the Global Humanitarian Crisis'. Dr Dragovic has held various board and governance roles in the public and private sectors, including with the Australian Strategic Policy Institute and Australian Institute of International Affairs (Vic).He is the author of several scholarly papers, was a senior honorary fellow at the University of Melbourne and wrote the book 'Religion and Post-conflict Statebuilding: Roman Catholic and Sunni Islamic Perspectives'.
